Meeting.

President Kramer opened the meeting in the traditional manner. Happy/Sad dollars were collected.


Its that time of year please re-new your membership NLT August 30th.




CJ's HighMarks Restaurant will donate 20% of total sales to the Mercer County House of Hope September 11. This is for both dine-in and carryout all day.

They will donate 15% of total sales on September 16 to the Animal Protection League of Mercer County. Lets all support them.



Board Meeting.

The board adopted a resolution to make the 5th Tuesday of every month a Fun Nite. The first such event will take place at 7 PM, September 30th at the mattress store next to the Deluxe Dry Cleaners. Bring snacks and dress for halloween or in pajamas. Spouses are invited. 

October the 8th will be installation of officers. All officers and board members please attend that meeting.

The board voted to spend $300 to have the Kiwanis logo displayed at the Bulldogs football stadium.

Starting in October 2014 the greeter function will be combined with the program host function. .

How do you beat the summer heat? Members of the Quitman-Lake Fork Kiwanis Club will use their foundation grant to help their Texas community cool off with a Kiwanis splash pad at Jim Hogg Park.

Nicole spoke about the fundraising efforts to build 4 girls softball diamonds at Westview Park.
