Meeting.

President Kramer opened the meeting in the traditional manner. Happy/Sad dollars were collected.

 Briefly discussed what to do for "Kiwanis One Day".  It falls on Saturday April 5 this year. No decision was made as yet.

Start planning today for Kiwanis One Day.

 Program.

Stacey Brunswick introduced her speaker, Jackie Jutte. Jackie gave a presentation about therapy dogs. She trains dogs to take to hospitals, nursing  homes etc. to bring comfort to their patients. She said that there was an energy transfer between patient and dog. Studies have shown that there is a 60% speed-up in recovery for patients exposed to these dogs. She has a very informative web site Supersmart Dogs and her Facebook presence is: Supersmart Aca.

Kiwanis Education.

41. There are four categories of membership in a Kiwanis club: active, privileged, senior, and honorary. All members enter Kiwanis as active members. The privileged class of membership was closed in 1963, and this class will cease to exist when the last privileged member leaves his club
