Meeting.

President Kramer opened the meeting in the traditional manner. Happy/Sad dollars were collected.
President Kramer asked for each member to come up with a suggestion for "One Day" by next meeting.
He also suggested that we donate enough money to the eliminate project to reach $5,000 by the end of 2015. Since we already gave $2,500 that would leave roughly $4.45 per month per current member for the next 22 months.

Program.
J. T. Irmscher introduced his guest, Mike Robbins.

Mike, the director of the Mercer County Emergency Manangment Agency, spoke at length about the 4 Phases of Emergency Management:
  1. PREPAREDNESS: Plan for all hazards and exercise those plans.
  2. MITIGATION: Actions take before a disaster to minimize loss of life and damage to property.
  3. RESPONSE: Coordinate response activities of multiple agencies during a disaster.
  4. RECOVERY: Coordinate local, state, and federal agencies to facilitate return to pre-disaster status.

Kiwanis Education.

44. Senior membership is open to Kiwanians who have held active membership in one or more Kiwanis clubs for at least 10 years and no longer can meet regular attendance requirements due to health, business, or other extenuating circumstances. Senior members enjoy all the rights of membership, including serving as a club officer. However, since senior membership is granted because the member cannot meet regular
attendance requirements, a senior member would not normally be a candidate for a club office.
