Meeting.

President Rosengarten opened the meeting in the traditional manner. Happy/Sad Dollars were collected.

President Rosengarten announced that the Division 2 Lt. Governor, Linda Steinbrunner, will be visiting our club on March 13. Let's have a great turn-out.

The following individuals have signed-up to attend the Mid-Year Education meeting at Lewis Center near Columbus on March 9th.

President Rosengarten, Mary Lehman, and Hans Rehrmann attended the division 2 meeting in Lima on January 23rd. This meeting turned out to be a 3 hour hands on class in how to achieve "Excellent Club" status. You will be hearing more about that in the near future.

New Member Installation.

President Rosengarten installed new member Linda May. Linda was sponsored by Teresa Smith. Welcome abort Linda and many, many thanks to Teresa who is the most prolific sponsor of new members.

Program.
Hans Rehrmann introduced today's speaker, Michell Sabol the executive director of the Equestrian Therapy Program in Cridersville.

Michell Sabol

Michelle talked about the therapeutic benefits that riding a horse provides to physically, as well as, mentally handicapped children and adults. She described, in detail, how a wheelchair bound woman learned to walk again through this program. She said that they currently have 14 horses and that not just any horse is suitable for this program. The horses must be calm spirited. The program needs constant funding. A one houre ride costs around $90 per horse and the typical rider can usually afford no more than $10. They run classes from 9 AM to 5 PM plus some evenings.
