Meeting.
President Rosengarten opened the meeting in the traditional manner. Happy/Sad Dollars were collected.
President Rosengarten spoke about the Mid-Year Education meeting he, Teresa and Hans attended last Saturday at Lewis Center North of Columbus.
Program.
President Rosengarten introduced the Lt. Governor, Linda Steinbrunner. She informed the club members that Division 2 had received the distinguished division award and she handed President Rosengarten as patch for our banner. She also had a special pin for last year's president, J. T. Irmscher.
She then spoke about the goals set by current Ohio District president Craig Wallace. Some of his goals for all clubs to achieve are: holding friendly, welcoming meetings, that each club increase membership by at least 2 members, participate in the K-Leader program, add one new service program and to strive to achieve distinguished club status.
She reminded the incoming club president, Eric Kramer to attend the leadership education meetings. Club members were reminded of the availability of funds from the Ohio District Foundation.

73. Kiwanis dues cannot be claimed as a personal tax deduction. As nonprofit corporations, Kiwanis clubs do not pay taxes on income. But Kiwanis clubs do not qualify as deductible charities for members or donors who provide the club’s income. This is why some clubs, districts, and Kiwanis International have established charitable foundations to receive tax-deductible donations for service purposes.
