Meeting.

President Eric Kramer opened the meeting in the traditional manner. Happy/Sad dollars were collected.


Hans reported on special cones to be used with with the Bike Rodeo during Healthy Kids day this fall in lieu of chalk markings on the pavement. They can be ordered from WalMart via the Internet. He will request that the club vote on purchasing them at the next board meeting.

Hans also reported that the date of this year's Healthy Kids day will be November 1st.

Program.

Deb Hemmelgarn, owner of  Emerald Fundraising & Event Planning, spoke about her organization which is designed to assist non-profit organizations with their fundraising effort. She spoke at length about the Mad Run 2014 event to be held this Saturday at Ft. Recovery.  This event raises funds to benefit the Cancer Association of  Mercer County.
She also spoke about the Governors Cup Regatta and asked us to provide a burger stand.

Scholarship Recipients.

 Ken Rosengarten presented this year's scholarship recipients. Each student gave a brief outline of what their plans for the future are. They thanked the club members for the donations. The vice principal of the Celina Senior High School accompanied them.

54. An inter-club meeting is one which is jointly planned and held by two or more Kiwanis clubs, or by a Kiwanis club and any Kiwanis Junior, Circle K club, Key Club, Builders Club, K-Kids, and/or Aktion Club and duly announced as such in advance through club notices. No less than a visiting group of four, composed of Kiwanians or a minimum of two Kiwanians plus members of a Circle K club, Key Club, and/or Builders Club sponsored by the visiting Kiwanis club, must be in attendance. To qualify for inter-club credit, the meeting must be an official meeting of the host club. Conventions, division council meetings, and similar events do not normally qualify.
