Meeting.

President Eric Kramer opened the meeting in the traditional manner. Happy/Sad dollars were collected.

President Kramer once again asked for a volunteer for Vice-President and it appears he talked Phillip Miller into it.

He also stated that we need 16 volunteers to help supervise the inflatables at this year's Freedom Days on the 5th of July. The hours are from 11 am until 1 pm. We have 9 volunteers so far. Hans will send an email to Molly Hay of the Circle K club to see if they would like to participate. Please let President Eric know if you can help.

Lt. Governor-elect Karen Cisco, Vice-President Ivan Knapp, Teresa Smith and Hans Rehrmann are going to attend the Division 2 meeting in Delphos tonight.
 
We received a thank you letter from the Celina Parks and Recreation Department for our sponsorship of a boys and girls baseball team.

Program.

Today's speaker was Brandon Shilling of the New Day Pain Management Center, an affiliate of the Grand Lake Health System. He spoke about a new way to help patients with acute and chronic pain diagnosis. There is a lot more information at the above link.

Kiwanis Education.

58. The organization date, when a new club meets officially to elect officers and adopt its bylaws, is the official birth date of a Kiwanis club and is celebrated as the anniversary in future years. The charter presentation is conducted a few weeks later, allowing adequate time to plan the event. All members elected before the charter date are considered charter members.
